This guide was made using a Windows 7 64-bit system, installing the PCL6 driver.
If you are using Windows 10 the setup is very similar however certain items are located in different areas (eg. Control Panel items have moved to Settings).
Please look for special notes for Windows 10.
1. Check if your system is 32-bit or 64-bit
Windows 10:
- Start menu
- Settings (gear icon)
- System
- About
Windows 7:
- Start menu
- Right-click on Computer
- Choose Properties
2. Select your driver(s)
There are 2 types of drivers for the 7530, PCL6 and PS. All users should have the PCL6 driver installed, whereas, some users might also need the PS driver installed as well.
- PCL6 – this is typically used for printing from most Windows programs
- PS – this is used for printing from Adobe products
3. Download the printer driver from the LO Server:
The Xerox WorkCentre 7530 drivers can be found in:
\\db9.gfl.me\IT\Drivers\Xerox\7530\Win\
Select your relevant driver(s) and copy to your desktop
4. Install the printer driver on your system:
Double-click on the WC7545-7556_5.196.11.0_XXXXX.exe file on your desktop to begin.
5. Add the printer to your system
If the Add Printer window seen below doesn’t pop up after the driver installs, do the following:
- Open Start menu
- Click Devices and Printers
- Click Add a printer near the upper-left portion of the window
For Windows 10:
- Start menu
- Settings (gear icon)
- Devices
- Printers & scanners
6. Configure printer for LO settings
If not already open, go to Devices and Printers.
- Open Start menu
- Click Devices and Printers
For Windows 10:
- Start menu
- Settings (gear icon)
- Devices
- Printers & scanners
- Select your printer
- Click Manage to get to Printer Properties/Preferences
Right-click on the printer and open Printer Preferences (not Printer Properties) and select the Advanced tab.
7. Testing Printer Setup
Right-click on the printer and select Printer Properties.
This should trigger the Accounting prompt to appear.
